Spring Holistic Festival in Spokane Valley Features Crystal Skull

May 01, 2018 03:03PM
The spring holistic festival will take place May 19 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at CenterPlace at Mirabeau Point Park, located at 2426 North Discovery Place, in Spokane Valley. Admission is $6, and includes over 50 booths, free lectures, and a special hour-long presentation on the Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull.

Co-sponsors of the bi-yearly Holistic Festivals, Sybil Vaughn and Cindy Gardner, had a vision in 2003 to offer education and presentations on alternative healing modalities to the public. “Our original goal was to offer an educational and fun day to the public at a reasonable cost that allowed people to talk directly with local alternative healing professionals in our area to learn more about various modalities and natural products,” says Vaughn. “Our festivals have chiropractors, readers, healers, massage therapists and energy workers as well as new alternative technologies and health scans, essential oils, herbs, weight loss, detox, aura pictures, books, art, jewelry, crystals, gifts and more.”

In addition, Vaughn and Gardner are excited to announce a presentation by Bill Homann, the guardian of the Mitchell-Hedges Skull, which was made from a single piece of quartz crystal and weighs 11 pounds, 7 ounces. “For over 80 years, the Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull has been regarded as an archeological treasure, a technological marvel and sacred artifact. It is proclaimed to be one of the 13 Crystal Skulls in the Mayan Skull prophesies,” says Gardner. “In a special one-hour lecture being held at 2 p.m., Bill will talk about this ‘Skull of Love,’ share the story of the adventurer Mitchell-Hedges, and take the audience on a guided meditation with the Skull.”
