Reconnect Your Mind and Body with Massage

“I see human touch, community and building strong relationships as necessary in overcoming the many challenges life brings us,” says Michelle Phay, licensed massage therapist and owner of Shalom Massage and Wellness. “The body has an amazing ability to heal physically and emotionally when balance is restored. Massage, meditation and yoga bring the body, soul and spirit into right relationship to each other. This is when true healing begins.”
Utilizing massage and energy balancing, Phay is able to facilitate rest, relaxation and conscious awareness with her clients. “Many people see massage as a time-consuming, money-wasting privilege that they don’t have time for,” explains Phay. “The reality is massage brings a deep rest to the body and mind which allows for a connection between the two which rarely, if ever, happens during the course of a normal day. Massage is not a lofty privilege, but a necessary opportunity to reconnect with oneself to work through the stuff of everyday life and to heal body, mind and spirit.”
In addition to massage, Shalom Massage and Wellness also offers private and semi-private yoga classes, women’s circles, a Refuge Recovery group, and all-natural makeup.
