The Northwest Pet Expo, a community fundraiser for SCRAPS Hope Foundation, is being held March 30 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center in Spokane.
“The 2019 Expo will be bigger and better than ever!” enthuses Suzie Dunn, pet expo organizer and Sponsorship and Events Director for KXLY. “We have expanded to another ag building so we could add more vendors, more animals and more interactive, family-friendly activities.”
Attendees will get a chance to visit a wide selection of pet businesses and retailers, as well as participate in a variety of activities and education. “We will have grooming contests, a full-stage entertainment program, Kids’ Zone, birds, fish and exotic animals, free samples and more,” says Dunn. “In addition, several rescue and animal welfare groups will be on hand along with many of their pets available for adoption.” Cost: Adults: $7 in advance, $10 at the door; kids (5-12) $3 in advance, $6 at the door; children 4 and under free. Location: 404 N Havana St., Spokane. Visit NorthwestPetExpo.com for a schedule of events and more information. Service animals only at the event. Please leave pets at home.
