North Idaho’s Second Annual Birth and Baby Fair
Apr 01, 2019 10:51AM
The second North Idaho Birth and Baby Fair will be held on May 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds Jacklin Building in Coeur d’Alene. The event will highlight birth and baby businesses, classes, education and resources available in North Idaho and Eastern Washington. Free samples, raffle drawings, a kid’s coloring corner, and food vendors will also be available.
Bekah Saunders, event organizer, doula and owner of Homestead Mama Birth Services in Athol, Idaho, explains, “I was inspired to host the first ever North Idaho Birth and Baby Fair last year to showcase area businesses. As someone who deeply loves this community, I really wanted to highlight all the amazing birth and baby resources, businesses, services, products and tremendous support in one big event.”
The fair is ideal for newly pregnant women, families with babies and small children, and people looking for services in the birth and baby industries. “We will have a wide range of businesses showcasing their services and products,” Saunders says. “Everything from medical providers to custom nursery furniture and even a ‘Daddy Den’ complete with a bar and free virtual reality for those who would rather hang out while their loved ones browse the fair offerings.” In addition, a portion of the proceeds from admission will be donated to Deep Waters Bereavement, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to serving families who experience pregnancy and infant loss.
Cost: $5, kids 12 and under are free. For more information, visit Facebook.com/HomesteadMamaDoula.
