Wireless and 5G Technology Educational Forum

Feb 01, 2020 07:50PM
Local citizen-based organization, Spokane Wired, is sponsoring a free educational event highlighting wireless and 5G technology on February 27 at 4 p.m. at Gonzaga University’s Hemmingson Center.

“The intention of this educational forum is to increase awareness about the wireless technologies that surround us and to provide more information about their effects on cell phone users and those living near cell towers,” says Jennifer Crew of Spokane Wired.

The event speakers include two professors from Washington State University, Dr. Robert Olsen, professor emeritus of electrical engineering and Dr. Martin Pall, professor emeritus of biochemisty and medical sciences. “Dr. Olsen will focus on the technical aspects of 5G technology and Dr. Pall will address the biological impact of these technologies and their current safety standards,” explains Crew. “This event is open to the public and will allow for questions from the audience. We encourage anyone who is interested in learning more to attend.”

Location: Gonzaga John J. Hemmingson Center, 702 E. Desmet Ave. For more information, email [email protected]
