Feb 01, 2020 08:18PM
Julia Hayes, owner of Souls Center in Kendall Yards, is happy to announce the addition of SatiSeva, a spiritually minded support community for people who have friends or family suffering with addiction. The community meets on the third Sunday of every month from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Souls Center.
“SatiSeva is a spiritual sanctuary where participants are encouraged to explore the emotional, spiritual and physical tolls caused by bearing witness to addiction,” shares Hayes. “The word SatiSeva means ‘Mindful Service.’ It’s in this spirit that we commit to cultivating a mindful approach to first care and understand ourselves in order to better support and be of service to others.”
The monthly 90-minute meeting includes meditation, spiritual teachings on topics associated with addiction, and personal sharing. This is a dāna-based offering.Location: 707 N. Cedar, Ste. 2, Spokane. Cost: By donation. For more information, or to see a full schedule of classes and events, visit SoulsCenter.com.
