A Simple HeartMath Practice for Heart Coherence

HeartMath technology is an innovative approach to improving emotional wellbeing. Learn to change your heart rhythm pattern to create physiological coherence; a scientifically measurable state characterized by increased order and harmony in our mind, emotions and body.
Step 1: Focus your attention on the area of the heart. Imagine your breath is flowing in and out of your heart or chest space, breathing a little slower and deeper than usual.
Step 2: Make a sincere attempt to experience a regenerative feeling such as appreciation or care for someone or something in your life. Suggestion: Try to re-experience the feeling you have for someone you love, a pet, a special place, an accomplishment, a memory, etc. or focus on a feeling of calm or ease by imagining yourself in a place where you feel peace. ex. on the beach, at the lake etc.
Maintain this feeling for as long as possible. You may start with two minutes, which is great. The more you practice this technique, the longer you can stay in heart coherence. Good luck!
